Unlike firms who charge an hourly rate or a price based on a percentage of the construction cost, at Ingeniously Designed we provide a fixed price for our services before we proceed with your design.

Architectural Design & Drafting Fees...As prices can vary depending upon the complexity of the design, it is not possible to be specific on pricing details until we have ascertained your particular requirements. As a broad reference; for a 'normal' single story home on a concrete slab, we are currently basing our prices on $1.00 per living Sq. Ft.

The Architectural Design & Drafting Fees include:

     • Site Plan  
     • Detailed Elevation Drawings
     • Floor Plan (fully detailed and notated)  
     • Dimension Plan
     • Electrical Plan
     • Roof Plan
     • Interior Elevations (as necessary)   
     • Section Drawings (as necessary)
     

All our work including carports, extensions etc. is priced according to the particular project. Although the inclusion of carports, verandahs, pergolas etc will have a bearing on the total price, for the purposes of budgeting or comparing prices, the above figures are calculated on the 'Living Area' of the home.

Engineering Design & Drafting Fees...As prices can vary depending upon the complexity of the design, it is not possible to be specific on pricing details until we have seen the Architectural Design Layout and ascertained  information such as construction location and a soils report. As a broad reference; for a 'normal' single story home on a concrete slab, we are currently basing our prices on $0.50 per living Sq. Ft. with a minimal charge of $1,200 for windstorm areas and $800 for non windstorm areas. The Engineering Design & Drafting Fees include:      • Foundation Plan         • Foundation Details       • Subfloor Framing Plan (when necessary)        • Ceiling Framing Plan (all floors)      • Roof Framing Plan       • Framing Details      • Structural Details (when necessary)

Some situations where prices may increase, are, if there is a need for Structural details on aspects of your design; but after ascertaining your requirements and basic layout, we will be in a position to provide a detailed price for your particular project. 

Energy Code Fees...As prices can vary depending upon the complexity of the design, it is not possible to be specific on pricing details until we have seen the Architectural Design Layout and ascertained your particular requirements. As a broad reference we are currently basing our prices on $0.10 per living Sq. Ft. for Plan Examining with a minimal charge of $150 and $150 for Inspection of Compliance (if required by the city).
